Dear City Council;

Please preserve the character of Island Estates and other beach residential communities, do not vote to allow the construction of hotels in residential areas.

For over 40 years Island Estates has been a Residential and Shopping Community, not a tourist destination.  I urge you

to keep it that way.

Our commercial district with its grocery store, banks, restaurants and other small businesses are a major part of

our quality of life.

Changing the density for hotel rooms and allowing the construction of hotels up to113 feet high with hundreds of rooms will destroy what the residents have worked so hard

to preserve and enjoy.

I recommend and request that the City Council exempt the Island Residential Communities from any hotel density allowances.  I endorse the current use of retail business.
